Clubs are increasingly becoming the place to be on Christmas Day, with families ditching the backyard spread for a club-cooked dinner.
For Sydney Mum Merolyn Yagos, the decision to go to The Epping Club with her family for Christmas was a no brainer.
'As a busy parent with three little ones the idea of having a beautiful Christmas lunch planned, served and cleaned up for us could not be more appealing', Mrs Yagos said.
The Epping Club is among more than 100 clubs around the state putting on buffet lunches on Christmas Day. At Epping they will be dishing up more than 75kg of ham, 50kg of lamb, 25kg of pumpkin, 50kg of potatoes, 90kg of turkey, 4,000 prawns and 1,500 oysters.
ClubsNSW CEO Rebecca Riant said clubs were increasingly becoming the Christmas Day venues of choice.
'With apartment living becoming increasingly common, clubs provide a spacious and welcoming setting to enjoy delicious and affordable food with loved ones, all in air conditioned comfort'. Mrs Riant said.
