December 2024: The Epping Club and its members embraced their role as local Santa with enthusiasm this year with a record amount of donations achieved for the local festive food supporting families in need. Rallying their community, the Club supported the work of CCA, resulting in a mountain of donations destined to brighten the holidays for local families in the Eastwood and Parramatta Council areas.
CCA, based in Eastwood, is a not-for-profit organisation providing a wide range of services across aged care, families, youth, and disability. With a mission rooted in community support, CCA ensures that vulnerable individuals receive the care and resources they need to thrive.
This marks the sixth consecutive year The Epping Club has partnered with CCA for the Christmas food drive, reinforcing its dedication to fostering strong local connections and addressing the needs of those experiencing hardship. The donations collected will go directly to families and individuals in the local community, ensuring no one is left without the warmth of the festive season.
Peter Saez, CEO of The Epping Club, highlighted the importance of giving back during this special time of year:
"Christmas is a time for community, and supporting CCA's incredible work is one way we can make a real and practical difference. We are so proud of our members for their overwhelming generosity. Together, we’re spreading hope and joy to those who need it most."
CCA’s Adelaide Collisson, who attended the presentation of donations, acknowledged The Epping Club’s consistent support:
"The Epping Club is an invaluable partner in our mission to serve the community. Their ongoing generosity and dedication help us provide immediate relief to families experiencing hardship. It’s community spirit at its best, and we couldn’t be more grateful."
The overwhelming response to this year’s food drive is a testament to the strong community ties fostered by The Epping Club. CEO Peter Saez confirmed this pride at another great year of support:
“In coming together, our members, management and team have experienced the true meaning of Christmas—spreading joy, kindness, and compassion to neighbours in need!”
